Ahhh water. Water is essential to every living thing. I am going to go out on a limb and guess that you already knew that.

The suggested daily intake is 8-12 8oz glasses a day. Our bodies are made up of approximately 60% water and in some organisms the number is up to 90%. Our lungs are made up of approximately 90% water, our blood 80%, and our brain up to 70% water.

Water has the ability to dissolve so many substances which then allows our cells to utilize important nutrients, minerals and chemicals.

Did you know water is "sticky"? Two Hydrogen atoms are attached to 1 Oxygen atom. The side that the Hydrogen is on is positive and the side that the oxygen is on is negative so since opposite electrical charges attract water molecules tend to attract each other. They clump together. That is why a water drop is a drop.

That "sticky ness" is what allows our bodies to transport these nutrients, minerals and chemicals. Water is also what transports waste.

Water aids in weight loss and overall health

  1. Keeps the bloodstream liquid enough to flow through our vessels
  2. Allows us to sweat in order to regulate body temperature.
  3. Transports waste out of our bodies
  4. Carries nutrients and oxygen to the cells
  5. Aids in digestion
  6. Flushes out toxins
